Los Angeles Lakers rookie forward Julius Randle had surgery Wednesday to repair a broken right leg and will likely miss the rest of the NBA season, the team said. "Randle is expected to make a full recovery, although it is anticipated that he will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season," the Lakers said in a statement posted on their website. It was a bitter start to the season for the Lakers, who saw Randle go down with a broken tibia as they were beaten 108-90 by the Houston Rockets on opening night. Randle, the seventh overall pick in the NBA entry draft in June, was playing in his first regular-season game and went down hard after a drive to the lane with less than seven minutes left in the contest.
