LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki want fewer games in an NBA season.It is the one idea that could bring our polarized nation together.The Lakers would probably whittle the schedule from 82 games to one, if they could. Their opener against Houston Tuesday was a ramp closure, a freeway-sweeper train and a tanker fire rolled into one enduring nightmare.
