The first time I saw Kobe Bryant play basketball he was a 17-year-old kid making his NBA summer league debut at Long Beach State. It was Day 1 of rehearsals for an incredible player who would span two decades, produce five NBA championships, one incredible 81-point scoring night, the construction and implosion of one NBA dynasty and the rebirth of another.
