On Tuesday, Los Angeles Lakers guard Andre Ingram blew up from a nice little story to perhaps the biggest headline in the NBA on the league's penultimate night of the regular season. Ingram, 32, got called up on Monday from the Lakers' G League affiliate for his first NBA action as the oldest American rookie in the league in more than 50 years. On Tuesday, he caught fire, exceeding all reasonable expectations to fill up the box score with 19 points, three rebounds, three blocks, an assist and a steal while hitting 4-of-5 3-pointers off the bench, perhaps earning a long-term NBA contract in the process.
