Six-time NBA All-Star Pau Gasol announced his retirement from professional basketball on Tuesday. Gasol won back-to-back championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, as well as a gold medal with Spain's national team in the 2006 FIBA World Championship. Lakers Owner Jeanie Buss announced that the Lakers will retire Gasol's No. 16 jersey.
