Lakeland women’s basketball advances in district play; men’s team eliminated

Mar. 10—The Lakeland Community College women's basketball team advanced to the Division II Great Lakes District A final with a 69-66 win over Schoolcraft on March 9 at Mott Community College. The Lakers play in the district final vs. Mid Michigan on March 11 at 3 p.m. at Mott. Lakeland (22-3) opened the game with a 10-0 run and led, 27-11, after the first quarter and 36-24 at the break. ...
